Military Conflicts in U.S. History
http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0931831.html
This website at first semmed like a dead end that could barely help me at all until I dove a little deeper. On the surface it appeared to be only a timeline of all major battles the United States has ever been a part of which is nice to give me a sense of the times of the wars I am looking in too but they were much more. First, I went to World War II then I clicked on the part of the timeline it was on and what came up mad ethe site one to bookmark immediately. It not only went into what the war was about but military expenditures, what the army was producing which has a lot to do with the economy during the time and a lot of other things as well. It had this for every War that America has been in so it will be something I will be looking into more and more.

Books have been something I have been searching very extensively and no matter what search I do or how many books I see the book that always shows up is this one. It has everything that I need the only major thing that limits this source is my topic is an economic view and the book is over a much larger aspect of the Wars. Not to say that it doesn't have any economic factors becuase I found a lot of them just with the brief overview of the book that I have seen so far without reading a whole lot of it. Books have been an area of weakness along with articles but this is definately one that I will be looking forward to read.

A revealing window on the U.S. economy in depression and war: hours worked, 1929-1950

This article, another great reference by Robert Higgs, starts before World War II but for my topic it is great because it talks about the national economy extensively through the War. It includes the National GDP, Gross GDP, unemployment and most of all military expenditures. This article wil be one of the most important pieces of my paper during World War II becuase of the extensive stats that are produced. Also it goes into deep detail about wages and hours worked and the differences of the two during Wartime and peacetime. Which is something that is very important becuase of the rate of unemployment before the War and how much it changed when the United States entered the War.

Effects of World War II
http://www2.sunysuffolk.edu/westn/effectww2.html
This again is about World War II but the part that stuck out to me for this particular assignment was how this had more that jsut the generic things I am looking for. This site has what happened around the rest of the World as well jsut so I could have comparisons and it also has what advancements were made in science and technology. Which were very large parts of the economy before and after becuase any industrial avancement is usually very prolific in the econommic areas becuase any less time needed for production means more money, etc. The website does not have a lot of information which is a downside but it has a lot of points which will help me if I become stuck in my research and need soemthing to look at to give me a litttle boost.
